Thanos Kaponeridis – President & Chief Executive Officer
Thanos Kaponeridis founded AeroSoft Systems Inc. in 1997. He has been an information systems professional since 1978. Mr. Kaponeridis also founded another Canadian systems consulting practice in 1988.
Since 1992, Mr. Kaponeridis has dedicated his career to the civil aviation industry. He has been a member of the ATA/TICC Text Working Group in the 1994-2000 timeframe. Mr. Kaponeridis has directed development and implementation of major digital-document systems projects for Bombardier Aerospace between 1992 and 1997.
Mr. Kaponeridis holds a B.Ap.Sc., Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto (1976) and a M.Sc. in Human Factors / Ergonomics from the University of London, England (1978).
AEROSOFT MANAGEMENT TEAM:
Mark S. Schulz – Sr. Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Business Development
Mr. Schulz comes to AeroSoft with over 30 years in the Aviation/Aerospace Industry. This includes experience working for the Aircraft OEMs, Airline operations managing Engineering, Technical Publications, Maintenance Training, Shop and Engine operations.
Over this career Mark has transitioned from being a consumer and user of IT Solutions to being a Digital Solution provider. He has started and operated Aviation software solutions companies, worked with and implemented Digital Solutions at over 200 Aviation/Aerospace companies. It is with this foundation that he now enables operations to accomplish total Digital Transformations creating efficiencies within Airline Technical Operations and MROs.
Mark holds FAA A&P and Commercial Instrument Multiengine Pilot Certificates. His undergraduate studies were conducted at Purdue University in Aviation Technology Engineering. He further went on to complete Graduate studies at the University of Denver and receive a Masters in Business Administration.
Larry Little – Senior Consultant, Digital Transformation
Mr. Little comes to AeroSoft with over 40 years in the Aviation/Aerospace Industry. This experience includes Leadership of Digital Transformation at a large Aerospace OEM. Larry has worked with over 200 Aircraft OEMs, Airline Maintenance and Engineering, Technical Publications, Maintenance Training, IT and operation in dramatically improving the overall efficiency of Engineers and Mechanics worldwide
Larry has extensive experience in aircraft design, maintenance and customer support. He is recognized as a key leader in the aerospace industry Maintenance Domain – innovating, designing, building, implementing and supporting advanced Cloud based IT solutions that set the standard for our industry today. He has been a vocal champion and leader for Mobile paperless operations.
Larry hold a BS degree in Civil Engineering from University or Tennessee. He further went on to complete Graduate studies at Seattle University and holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration. Larry is also an accomplished Private Pilot.
Barend van de Vrande – VP Product Management, Support and Implementation
Mr. van de Vrande joined AeroSoft in 2002 bringing 25 years experience in the European aviation industry, most recently with Tyrolean Airways and previously Fokker, KLM, Chromalloy. He is responsible for the pre and post sales support function for AeroSoft, including customization, business process definition, functional enhancements definition and data importing services.
Mr. van de Vrande has been exposed to many facets of aviation including maintenance planning and control, medical transportation aids, R&D and support-engineering for repairs on gas-turbine engine components, maintenance administration, set-up and administration of aviation M&E System Solutions and developing & keeping current maintenance documentation and procedures in accordance with the requirements of the JAA and National Regulatory authorities in Europe. Although a native of Tilburg, the Netherlands, Mr. Van de Vrande works out of our Toronto HQ office in Canada.
Mr. van de Vrande holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Technology degree (productions technologies) from Tilburg Polytechnic Institute, Netherlands (1989)
Jan Kostelansky - Vice President, Systems and Technologies
Jan Kostelansky joined AeroSoft in early 2009 bringing 12 years of experience in Content Management Systems implemented in the Aviation industry including product management, development and customer support. He is an XML expert.
Before joining AeroSoft, Jan was product manager of Content Management Systems in Corena. Some of the Key CMS / Life*Web (the predecessor of DigiDOC) projects he worked on were for Rolls Royce, Pratt&Witney, IAE as well as SAS and Lufthansa Technik.
As a member of the AeroSoft team, Jan gained significant MRO / M&E industry knowledge, placing him into the unique position of understanding both technical documentation and the M&E challenges of AeroSoft customers.
Jan holds a Master of Information Technologies degree from Comenius University, European Union (1997)
Alfredo Forero - Customer Support Specialist for Aerosoft Systems Inc.
Mr. Forero has over 25 years of experience in the airline maintenance industry in the areas of support equipment, logistics, repair, purchasing, software development and product support. Prior to becoming a member of the Aerosoft team, Mr. Forero has worked in different management roles for Avianca Airlines, SITA – Aircraft Maintenance and Defense, United Aerospace Corporation, Case Power and Equipment, Air Support International and Helitaxi, LTDa.
